A new site dedicated to the Global Catalyst Initiative will be arriving soon! We are proud to announce the 2011 GCI Recipients! We have been overwhelmed by the number and quality of applicants for the 2011 to 2012 round of the Global Catalyst Initiative. It has been inspiring to learn of the many ventures around the world committed to bettering our communities. After much deliberation we are thrilled to announce this years recipients! Eco-Fuel Africa Limited, Kampala, Uganda TakaTaka Solutions, Nairobi Kenya About the Global Catalyst Initiative: In 2010 Global Agents launched the Global Catalyst Initiative (GCI). In 2011, we have continued our search for some of the world's most promising early stage, market-oriented ventures tackling global poverty. Our goal is to help take high-potential projects from pilot to proof of concept, working with entrepreneurs to improve their models and dramatically increase their ability to garner further support. Application deadline: Keep the applications coming! We want to learn more about your venture and hope that one day we can work together. Projects from 2011 to begin: January 1, 2012 Apply here: GCI Application Form to complete the Global Catalyst Initiative application form. Only projects that qualify will be contacted. We thank you for your interest. To be considered, applicants must fit the following criteria: Global Agents to be a majority or significant early funder The venture has been operational for no more than two years, and has an annual operating 
 budget of under $150,000 USD Projects are beyond the idea phase, having at least begun to pilot/test their idea The organization is dedicated to monitoring and measuring their social impact If applicable, local community has been closely involved in project development and 
 implementation You or a co-founder are prepared to work full time on your venture, with the ambition to have 
 impact on a global scale
 Our selection process: Submit application Form Follow up interview, where we may ask you to submit a more detailed project proposal Reference checks Agree to terms Global Agents works closely with our partners to evaluate and communicate impact and effectiveness.
