Day 4: We made it to Seattle!

After a restful night at the Stanwood United Methodist Church, we woke up to an amazing hot breakfast made for us by Sir Robert and Bob, including waffles, eggs, a potato and cheese casserole, sausages, and coffee! It was delicious and just the boost we needed, because when we woke up and looked outside we realized it had been pouring rain for hours with no signs of stopping. So after breakfast we packed up our backs, put on our rain gear and set off for ...

Pictures Up Soon!

I'm here at home base, Vancouver, Canada and it's amazing to see the riders take off for year two. It's really quite surreal for me. It seems like yesterday that we took off for the first ride to Tijuana, not knowing quite what to expect.  Thanks to everyone who's been posting comments. Pictures will be up as soon as I figure out how to post them. In the mean time, here's Suzannah Kelly's blog with some recent photos from the ride: http://ridingtobreakthecycle.blogspot.com/  Much love and pedal power ...

Per Kyle's suggestion, we stopped at a bakery that had amazing bread and coconut macaroons. We stopped for lunch at Bay ...

The border was a breeze. It was the first time I’ve crossed an international border by bike, I think that’s why it hasn’t hit me, or many of the riders that we are no longer in Canada! The ride was great, Kamila and I were sweepers (we stay at the end ...

Day 1: From Vancouver to White Rock

The first...... blog, day, saddlesores....and flat tire! We had an amazing send off at the Art Gallery and Commercial Drive, lots of people came to support us. $2200 dollars were raised at both these events, yay! After our send off at Commercial, we continued off to White rock, where we are now. On the way we all split into groups - all of which promptly got lost in various directions. Either way, we still made it here before dark. Some of us are now playing ...
