SEED Kenya- Summer ’09
Students for Education, Empowerment and Development (http://seedcan.wordpress.com) believes that everyone has can change their own conditions and the conditions of those around them, for the better. We believe in realizing this potential through empowerment. Our mission is to empower people by investing in education.
We gather private funding from sponsors in Canada to pay for scholarships of students overseas. In Kenya, the scholarships are for primary school students and secondary students.
What: You will be traveling to two locations, visiting our partner schools in urban and rural Kenya. You will be our eyes and ears on the ground – your input will be vitally important for future decisions. When you come back, you are expected to make a commitment to SEED for at least the following year.
When: May, June, July or August, 2009 – flexible- Minimum of 4 weeks
