Critical mass – a story told in pictures
So yesterday, myself (Sean) and a slew of other AOC riders participated in Critical Mass, a randomly-organized mass ride through the city of Vancouver. If you’ve never been, Critical Mass is on the last Friday of every month, and meets 5:30 at the art gallery. Show up with a bike. Words can’t do justice to how much (free!) fun it is, so I’ll tell the story entirely in pictures. You can spot the AOC folks by their red and grey jackets.
Oh – one more things before the pictures take over. If you like what you see, we’re doing this again on Thursday, at 12:00 noon for the launch of our bike trip to Mexico! – Meet at the art gallery in vancouver (very close to granville st. station, and skytrains are bike-friendly!), and bring a bike (any bike!). We’ll be biking at a slow pace from the art gallery to Commercial Drive, where a local bike shop called Bikes on the Drive are giving FREE BIKE TUNEUPS to anyone riding with us. Bikes on the Drive is also near a skytrain station, so you can jump on and get home easy! Plus, you’ll see us off in style, and be the last people to see us in Canada! Tell your friends!
And….pictures!

Who is that crazy person with the 4ft sign hung around their neck? oh wait, i think thats me! I love it when Agents of Change and Critical Mass unites!
one less car! the critical mass in winnipeg last summer almost caused a riot. go vancouver!
Skytrain is only bike friendly after 7pm and on weekends, but rules are meant to be broken and I’ve broken their rules several times. Just might be a problem if a whole bunch of people try to take their bikes on skytrain on Thursday, during the day. Just ride your bike there! I plan to ride there from New West!
