Riding to Break the Cycle ’08 Recruitment

Well, we’re in full swing putting together the new team for Riding to Break the Cycle ’08, having filled up about half of the team and barely launched our recruitment campaign – its almost enough to make us think about adding another route this year…almost. Our trip leaders for next year are hard at work contacting communities down the Pacific Coast to secure accomodation and arrange presentations and community events, and our new riders have already gotten off to a great start to meet their fundraising goals. All said, an interesting comparison to one year ago when this crazy idea was first conceived!

The organization is in the midst of a pretty rapid expansion, with seperate committees taking on the lion’s share of the load shouldered by the core crew through the early months of our existence. The possibilities seem endless and its an exciting time to be involved with programs taking on a life of their own (not that I’m sure when isn’t an exciting time to be involved!) – the support from everyone we talk to is overwhelming and we have high hopes for the coming new year.
