Tijuana Tomorrow?!?!
WHAT?!? We’re HERE? We’re HERE!
Its hard to believe we’ve been on the road for over 5 weeks, but here we are! We’ve arrived safe and sound south of San Diego and just have a short hop to the border tomorrow and we’ve officially made it. We’ve had two MONSTER days to get all the way through LA and down this far, but it seems our hardcore training of the last month or so has left us up to the challenge. So…its almost over…
Did our bodies take a beating to make it this far? Yes.
Did we all get along all the time? Uhhh, no.
Do we all leave with a lot of respect for eachother, and some incredible new friends? Yup.
Was it easy? No. Was it supposed to be? Nope.
I feel so priveleged to have gone through this with the group that we have. So many diverse world views and personalities, all driven to be a part of this for their own reasons, and all coming together to accomplish something amazing. We learned a lot on this journey as people were challenged physically and mentally day in and day out - each person pushed to their limit at one time or another. As an organization we learned a LOT about how to organize a major event like this, and in many instances, how not to.
Its a big, big world and everyone is leaving their mark in their own way, leaving the world a little better, or worse, for their involvement. For ALL its bumps and hurdles, all its highs and lows, this ride and this group, have added their weight for the better. An inspiration to all they came across, and to all they know on the home front and each a leader in this world whether they know it (or like it) or not.
We still have an event in San Diego tomorrow evening, and some of us will spend a couple of days further heading further into Mexico to check out a microcredit operation on the ground in Hermosillo. Past that we’ll all be seeing you soon whether by plane, train or automobile but for now, and as always, much love and appreciation for your support.
Paz,
–Shawn

I have been busy seen I’ve been home but have thought a lot about each and everyone of you. You are all incredible and unique and I am so proud to have had the opportunity to have spent time with you. I am so proud that you are now at the end of the journey and made it there safely. You are all an inspiration and if there were more people in the world with the determination and heart that this group has the world would be a better place. I hope to see you all soon.
Love,
Amy
congratulations - we are all so proud of all of you of course including your support team and documentary crew. You must all feel so proud and accomplished. What an adventure and I know we only know about a small portion of your day to day encounters. Positively a team effort. See you all soon.

Congratulations to everyone who was a part of riding to break the cycle. You have made it! I have loved reading your blog posts along the way and both Shawn and Sean write so well that it’s always exciting to read a new post! You should all be very proud of yourselves for what youve accomplished individually and as a team, you’re all an inspiration to me! See you very soon! xoxo
You’re all so amazing - what a feat. Congratulations a thousand times over! Who knows how far the ripples you’ve started will travel?
congratulations! i can imagine the ups and downs of this long journey. you have learned what it is to live in community - looking after each other even when you are ‘choked’ with each other. such a great life lesson. safe journey to all — to those riding into mexico and those returning home by various means of transportation. my hope for you all is that not only will you never forget this experience, but that you will be changed in your mindset about contributing to the needs of others.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I rode with these guys for one day and although I had great respect for then before, I (and my legs) respect them so much more now. These guys are great individuals and give me great hope for future. I encourage everyone to donate to this group. I am so proud to call each one of these riders my friend.
God Bless you all.
